I was just reading online that former Duck basketball player Maarty Leunen had signed a contract to play basketball in Turkey.
I was about to turn to Cheryl on the couch and say "Hey, honey, guess where Maarty Leunen is going?" when I caught myself.
This really sucks.

Dave - Yep, it really does suck. I don't know if this helps, but there are lots of us grieving with you, out here in cyberland.
We're listening, so keep posting.

Yes it does. I feel like I'm on some surreality show that I didnt sign up for. I keep wondering when you two are coming back to visit again. If you need anything done - you know I'm there. All of your support and love made this journey much better for Cheryl - we used to talk about how wonderful you are when she would visit. Thanks for being you.
I still get that urge 6 1/2 years later--to share something that would have been of interest to Emil. The sharing part stays on.

Dave,
I'm so glad you're still posting.
Just checked in to get the URL for Brad in New Mexico (used to be at LANL) and saw your post.
Cheryl always stopped in to see me when she was in College Hall and it was hard to stop talking and go back to work - there was always so much to talk about and we seemed to be able to follow each other's logical and not-so-logical leaps of the mind.
And I'm the full-time Cedar Mesa Project person now, and so I'm always running into Cheryl's work. Yes, it will definitely take some getting used to.
Hey there Preschool Pal-
So sorry to hear, Dave. I am grieving with you. Your time together was beautiful....sorry it was so short. Love, Ashley
Hey Preschool Pal- I'm not sure if this is repeating... but. I am so sorry to hear about Cheryl. I am also grieving with you. Your time together was too short but so beautful.
Peace and love. Ashley
Hey Dave,
Anytime you need a break from home you are more than welcome to come and stay with us. Bring your clubs and you, Paul and Scotty could hit the course for a much needed diversion.
And as Mom said....you will ALWAYS be a part of the family. Together as a family we will get through this........
Love, Paul & Sheri & boys
